I Believe Every Trip Should Change You a Little
Travel has a way of doing that. It pulls us away from the ordinary, reconnects us with the people we love, and opens our eyes to a world far bigger and more beautiful than our daily routine allows us to see. That’s why I became a travel advisor, and why I pour so much of myself into every trip I plan.
I’m Helene, founder of Roam and Compass and your personal luxury travel advisor. I’m new to the industry but far from new to travel. I’ve explored the crystal waters of the Caribbean, stood in awe of the mountains and lakes of the American West, soaked in the culture of Ireland, savored the slow pace of the French countryside, marveled at the sheer perfection of Monaco, and surrendered to the all-inclusive magic of Mexico. Every destination has given me something: a new perspective, a cherished memory, a deeper appreciation for this incredible world we get to roam.
Why I Do This
I became a travel advisor because I love people. Genuinely, deeply love them. And I love what happens when people invest in each other, when they take time away from the noise to truly be present with the ones they care about.
Travel does that better than almost anything else. It creates space for real connection. It challenges us, stretches us, and always leaves us with something to take home.
When I travel with my kids, I get to see the world through their eyes all over again. That sense of wonder, of escape, of discovering something completely outside the norm. That’s what I want to give every single one of my clients.
What I Specialize In
Cruising is my first love. There is something magical about waking up in a new destination every morning, with everything you need right there with you. The Lido deck on a sea day? Pure joy. The ability to sample so many incredible places in one trip and then go back to your favorites for longer stays. It is something I find endlessly exciting. If you’ve never cruised before, I will absolutely convert you.
Resort getaways are where families come back to life. Whether it’s an all-inclusive in Mexico where you leave every care at the door, or a luxury Caribbean resort where the water is so clear it doesn’t look real. I know how to find the right property for your family and your budget.
My favorite destinations include the Caribbean for those impossibly blue waters, the American West for the most magnificent mountain and lake views I have ever witnessed, Ireland for its rich and welcoming culture, France for its unhurried beauty and rolling countryside, Monaco for a level of perfection I had never experienced before, and Mexico for the kind of all-inclusive bliss that makes you forget the outside world exists.
I haven’t seen everything yet, but I’m working on it. And until I do, I get an absolute thrill helping others discover all that is out there waiting for them.
